Il 19 marzo gli alunni della VII classe hanno assistito allo spettacolo in inglese intitolato "Frankenstein, the monster and the myth", messo in scena dal gruppo teatrale TNT.
Il dramma teatrale è basato sul romanzo gotico, horror e fantascientifico, scritto fra il 1816 e il 1817 dalla scrittrice britannica Mary Shelley, che all'epoca aveva solo 19 anni.
Frankenstein è uno dei miti della letteratura proprio perché affonda le sue radici nelle paure umane: è probabile che il suo successo sia dovuto proprio alla figura del mostro, espressione della paura al tempo diffusa per lo sviluppo tecnologico.
Gli alunni, dopo aver svolto una lezione basata su questa tematica, hanno assistito alla rappresentazione teatrale, completamente in lingua inglese, della durata di 90 minuti. I quattro attori sono stati bravissimi nell'interpretare diversi ruoli: il professore, il dottor Victor, la sua amata Elizabeth, la scimmia, il mostro, i cittadini di Ingolstadt, le guardie della prigione, il giudice ed altri ancora.
Alcuni alunni hanno espresso la propria opinione critica a riguardo.
"Before going to the theatre, I knew that Frankestein, the monster, was not dead and that he felt alone. He was my favourite character in the play, because he was kind at the beginning, before people started being rude to him. It made me feel sad that nobody wanted Frankenstein when he was a harmless creature." (Matej)
"The language was simple. I could understand everything, even though it was an older version of the English we use today. Overall, I loved the performance." (Aisha)
"Personally I liked the show because it was quite realistic. It also did not last too long, so it wasn’t boring. Besides, I loved the scenery, and the simple way the actors were dressed. The best part of the show was when they made something funny so that we could laugh, like kissing a fake head or a foot, "cut off from a corpse." It was really fun, and it was worth seeing!" (Adea)
"I would really like to see another performance of the TNT theatre group, because the actors are really good at playing their roles and they can make a horrible topic sound out funny." (Elizaveta)
